JetCat Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Hi, When moving the pilot head upward for a better view around I have seen the gunner cockpit in front of me has only it´s upper radio panel on (the one with the yellow digits), but the rest of his whole cockpit and all displays are just black and switched off. Please add an option in the extras menu for stronger computers to also render the CPG copilot displays while being back in the pilot seat. Seeing the full copilot-cockpit switched on (and illuminated at night) when looking down into the front cockpit really enhances the immersion when flying with higher pilot viewpoint. Have a wonderful weekend to you all!
JetCat Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 In this video I have seen that the gunner cockpit displays are on. In my Apache the front cockpit was always fully cold and dark and completely switched off while flying (except the gunner cockpit radio panel, that was the only thing that was switched on) which was so immersion breaking! Before I buy the Apache I please need to know if there are options somewhere in the main menu or a mod to also have the gunner cockpit displays fully switched on while flying:
JetCat Posted May 11, 2024 Author Posted May 11, 2024 Ahaaaa! Now I know hot this works... Here we have all screens switched off in the front cockpit. But after at least switching once into the gunner pit of George... Voilá everything is switched on now and I can see the front cockpit displays while flying from an elevated seat position. Very good! So this is how it works. Awesome. It is so immersive seeing the screens switched on in the front cockpit too.
corbu1 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 So this makes me curious if the Tedac screen is on as well. Flying the DCS Apache since day one but never checked this……. JetCat Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Yes all screens are switched on like they should be I think I have seen the TADS on too when moving around inside the virtual cockpit, and I see the upper half of the MFDs and the radio screen of the front cockpit always while flying I always set the cockpit viewpoint as high as possible for the maximum view outside and situational awareness. (That´s why it is important to have them fully animated for realism and immersion).
