I went to marham today there was a show for all the people who work the base.

Any how found a great spot was excited thought this is going to be a great day as rumour was all sorts coming in BUT.

It was not to be as we was moved on by police as we was distracting the pilots lol which was total BS as normally not a problem so I am guessing some one special was coming in.

Hope you weren’t distracting pilots again. Being in the cockpit of one of those you can easily be put off by someone wearing a brightly coloured hat or the wrong type of sunglasses. Have to be very careful and watch what you’re doing. No fluorescent coloured socks, nothing like that.

Let’s be careful out there.

lol I asked around about Marham I think Charlie turned up, the above was at LH 2 of them went out after a handful of F15s left the base.

Yep, drove up in the sunshine on Saturday via North Weald (finally), stayed in Cambridge then BOB Sunday.

Surprised Mrs Slippa with a flight in the Rapide. Was meant to do it years ago but by the time I’d got back they’d put it back in the hangar. Made sure not to stray far this time. Strongly recommend it too, best value for money I’ve had in a long time, it was great. Every time I looked back at the passengers they were all smiles, well worth it. Glorious old bird as well.

Was a good show, had a good chat with Charlie Brown. Think he has more hours in the Spit than anyone on the Planet now. Tried the tog stand for the first time but couldn’t put up with it for long, you’re crammed in like sardines and I wasn’t comfortable. We didn’t have the seats I’d booked either, nor did the lady next to me.

Turned into a trip through the Cotswolds for a couple of days and down into the Forest. Followed some of my Grandads footsteps around Poole Harbour and Sandbanks. He used to fly in Sunderlands out of the harbour, Mum was born in Sandbanks. I stayed in a Hotel he would’ve used when it was requisitioned for them in ‘42. Beautiful place, great views, very nice. Tea in Rick Steins place, not bad at all. Had great weather every day luckily.

I don’t wanna be home. My motor was written off a couple of weeks back so I’m carless Carlos at the minute. I can’t fly, probably won’t for days as I’ve nothing but Windows installed. I had to rearrange a partition to make room for the update and it didn’t go as well as I thought it would. Now I’ve gotta figure everything out all over again and set it up. Court next week because the Council listen to their computers instead of human beings so they’ve cocked up my Council Tax bills. All the joys eh.
