steph1258 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Hello everyone, I have just recently bought the F-15E but I run into a few problems with the setup of my controls (not to mention stutters and lags...). So here goes: My throttle inputs (both left and right) do not seem to translate into anything in-game and the setup seems bugged. It begins on the setup page where it seems that both my left and right throttle seem to have been given a centre point around which they operate, much like the yaw axis. In-game, this translates into my throttles not working at all... I can see they move erratically when I either push or pull both levers but in the end, the damn thing just wouldn't budge, hence no RPM control... I have tried to fiddle with the special options but cannot for the life of me understand how they work... It is weird and I cannot find a solution anywhere on the forum or the wwweb. If anyone has a solution I would be glad to hear it! Thank you all and enjoy your evening/day wherever you are.
MAXsenna Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Have you checked your axis settings twice, to make sure you don't have double inputs?Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
steph1258 Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 Hi, Yes I have, the Warthog throttle is the only one bound for left and right throttle (Z for left and RZ for right I believe). No other input on the line for left and right throttle, I made sure of it by checking twice before hopping in the cockpit. Maybe that has to do with the special options (idle and AB detent) but I am not quite sure how it works since no other module gives such options...
steph1258 Posted May 12, 2024 Author Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) Ok, so I tried to re-map everything but the same thing happens again. As long as I do not touch my throttle everythong is fine BUT when I move then past the IDLE setting (on my hardware, i.e. past the OFF Detent on my TM Warthog Throttle assembly) then the weirdest thing happens: My throttles are both set to around 50% of their actual course (whatever the setting I input) if I retard or advance them they do move back momentarily but as soon as the movement stop on my hardware, they return to their 50% position (which corresponds to around 84% RPM in-game). In that position I cannot taxi nor fly as the throttles just do not respond to my inputs properly. I checked my controls on other aircraft (both ED and Third Party) and they work just fine. Trying te re-tune my L & R throttles on the F-15E command panel does nothing either (BTW there are no double inputs as only my TM Warthog Throttle assembly is set). I'm at a loss with what to do now... Does anyone have an advice? Edited May 12, 2024 by steph1258
BJ55 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 What a strange behaviour, did you check throttle axis deadzones? You can bring up the controls indicator ( Rctrl+enter) to see what inputs are being sent to the aircraft. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro
steph1258 Posted May 23, 2024 Author Posted May 23, 2024 Apologies for the late reply... I did check that too, indeed. To no avail, so I took on the next approach : I erased all axis bindings in the settings for the F15E and started from scratch. And that worked. A few tweeks on the AB detent and I now have a proper control over both left & right throttles! Thanks for the help (again!) BJ55!
