schmiefel Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Just as a further remark: I did some more testing today and with my last setup changes for reduced delay timings in the Virpil device configuration plus a bigger deadzone for the stick axis (6 on both) I get slightly better results if I add a little real stick movement while actuating trim in the same direction like the virtual stick in the cockpit does. It still has some kind of swing tendency or oscillation but its not as hit and miss to me as trimming without using a little stick movement. As stated further above: In the real jet the trim moves the stick in direction of the trim force and keeps it there and with a FFB stick that would follow that command, too. But with no FFB on the stick maybe that movement has to be applied manually? Maybe I have to switch to the newest virpil base with its clutch like mechanism to keep the stick slightly in place? But how should others without such an (expensive) option work with that then? Maybe its just a matter of getting used to the trim system... I needed to disable the "Force Feedback" in the MISC options page in DCS. Apparently it causes problems for non-FFB controls sometimes. Didn't even know it was there. OMG thank you so much. I had this issues for month now even in the FA-18. could not figure out what it was. 1
