Jascha Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 Hello I'd like to ask about "regional" pricing on Steam, meaning F-4E module price in local currency, in my case - Polish PLN. As far as I understand, prices on Steam are converted either based on a general conversion rates defined by Valve (which are not updated regularly) or can be set by the Publisher (or Developer (?)). In case of F-4E module, the price in Polish currency on Steam is 277 PLN (including 20% discount). This price by current (official) conversion rate USD/PLN equals ~ 70 USD (!). So that's 10% more expensive if I'd pay in USD (which I cannot on Steam unfortunately). This fact, together with the lower discount on Steam than initially announced (-20% instead of -25%), means there is barely any discount price for me. I can live with 5% less discount, but the unfair conversion rate means that I'm getting scr*wed twice. The Steam full price for the module in Polish currency (377 PLN) equals over 88 USD, by the way. What is a mystery to me, other modules (including the ones from Heatblur) seem to have fair conversion rate. This seem to be a F-4E module specific thing, so that's why I'm posting it here. It looks like maybe someone to set the custom exchange rate (same as for other modules) and F-4E uses general (outdated) Valve exchange rate. Could you please look into it? Is there any way to fix the exchange rate before the promo on Steam expires?
