Cjayster13 Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I'm having trouble getting Jester to do a heading memory alignment after completing a mission, shutting down/rearming. I initially completed a memory heading alignment when i entered the aircraft at the start of the sortie. The box is checked in my mission editor. Can i carry out two memory heading alignments in one sortie or do i have to complete a full alignment the next time out? Thanks! PS. Great module! Congratulations.
Solution Zabuzard Posted May 29, 2024 Solution Posted May 29, 2024 (edited) You would need to be precisely parked at exactly the same spot where you parked and stored the alignment before for this to make sense. A stored heading alignment is executed by ground crew previously sitting in your jet, executing a full alignment for this exact geo-position and then shutting the aircraft down again while memorizing the alignment. Meaning, as far as the jet is considered, there is no shortcut - someone (ground crew) executed a full alignment in it. It is not meant to be used for subsequent starts. As written, there is nothing in the manual which contraindicates the supposition that shutting the jet down with a valid alignment would allow aligning with the stored alignment on subsequent start, provided the plane was not moved.
