7 april 2024. Hello, I created a mission with f18s and supercarrier in Caucacus. When you operate as player/client taxiing on an Airport or flying, your HUD Heading is normal synchronised with the HSI and SA page, that is normal! But when you taxi or been parked on a carrierdeck you can see that there is NO synchronisation between HUD Heading,HSI and SA page at all. This results in wrong position of Hafu symbols on the SA page!See screenshots.

If you set up a flight in the ME, the primary comms freq. is synchronized with the pre-configured frequencies of the radios (and with the default comms freq. of the whole flight). In case of our AH-64 this is channel 1 of the ARC-164. If you change the freq. in the upper portion, it also automatically changes radio channel #1 and vice versa. The datalink presets corresponds to those pre-configured radio frequencies. So by default, PRESET1 corresponds to radio channel #1, PRESET2 to radio channel #2 and so on. Thus, using PRESET1 (= ARC-164 chan.# 1 = AI flight primary comms. freq.) should and does work. The issue is now, that PRESET1 is not assigned to the radio when entering the cockpit. Instead, the ARC-164 is set to MAN and the primary comms. frequency, while all other radios get their appropriate DL preset correctly assigned to it. You have to manually assign PRESET1 to the radio - then also the DL functions work. I assume, this is due to the way the radios are initialized at mission start: assign DL presets assign primary comms. frequency to the whole flight and thus, overriding the DL preset Did I miss here something, or is this really a bug/quirk? Or how could I get the correct DL preset assigned to the ARC-164 automatically?

Hello! I saw a thread that's similar topic, which is now closed for further reply, so I hope this is cool if I start another one. I'm playing the Wild Weasels Over Syria campaign. I press Com1 on the ICP, and then Enter (ICP) to make the main page com1 enter 'preset' mode. It really helps complete the comms in the campaign with ease. The thing is, it works until I call a Tanker, or AWACS, or ATC with the F10 menu. Then the com1 / UHF on the main DED page will not return to the preset mode if I press Com1 (ICP) and then Enter (ICP) again. I've been mitigating this by flipping my UHF selector to BACKUP on the left side panel and setting the backup UHF section to Preset and scanning through the preset channels with the selector switch, and that works to keep the comms going for the mission. I just want to report this to see if it's of any great concern, thanks for reading!

Not sure if this is a bug or it is designed that way, but since it's a 3-position switch, I would assume, the right mouse clicks moves switch always forward, while left mouse clicks should move switch always backward. Now it is not wokring like a usual 3 or more positional switch. Now when switch is forward (on ON position), left click moves the switch to OFF, you can hear that double movement of the switch ("click-click"), but it moves just by one position. If you press right mouse click you can only hear one "click", but I would assume, right mouse click should do nothing more , but to stay there, when in ON position.

Hello, This is my first bug post, and look, I'm a n00b, so maybe there's some bizarre, undocumented, Byzantine procedure here, but I don't think so. Hot start. 4x MavFs and ATFLIR. Master Arm on. A/G Mode. ATC active. GMT on RDDI. Mavs on LDDI. HSI on AMPCD: box SEQ1; box AUTO (OSB 15 and 16). Select CPL on UFC Select ATFLIR on AMPCD and make SOI with SCS aft. Cycle INR to Scene to AUTO with SCS aft. Autopilot quits with Master Caution notification as soon as AUTO mode is selected for ATFLIR. "So," I thought, "maybe the F-18 Autopilot sucks. Bummer." So, I did some testing, and here's the thing: Nothing I do ever allows me to rebox "Auto" in the HSI. I can reset the entire jet back to Nav mode, turn off the ATFLIR, clear the A/P completely with the paddle, etc.( To be fair, I haven't ejected the actual TGP from the ship). Still can't box "Auto" to get CPL to appear on the UFC. If I try to enter any kind of Autopilot mode, say "BALT," I get a Master Caution "AUTOPILOT" on the left DDI. None of this behavior has come up on any search, in this forum or elsewhere. None of this behavior is documented in any official or unofficial documentation. I can replicate this behavior 100% of the time, and I bet you can too. So, what's up? All of this made sense as some kind of F-18 bad-design limitation from McDonnell-Douglas, but the perma-break of the auto-pilot makes no sense unless somehow the ATFLIR is shorting the flight computer, which would be a major failure. Thanks for reading. Let me know if I'm missing something, but this system behavior is beyond bizarre.

It's not the first time I experience this in MP, but only now have I decided to raise an issue, with SARH/IR missiles missing A-10 from point blank range. In the provided GIF from distance of 7km down to basically nothing, the A-10C manages to evade 6 missiles in total, with only mild maneuvering. Now before anyone jump on "he was notching" train, the A-10 was maybe notching the first 27-R, but the rest should have hit. I've had my missiles miss form dead 6 at distances less than 2km also, but I attributed this to possible de-sync at a time. In total the following failed to hit: 3 x R-27R 2 x R-73 2 x R-27T It's like the A-10C has a cloak of invincibility or something. It seems easier to fly over it and bomb it, then to hit it with A2A ordinance.

not a bug George AI Helper Missing "WASD" directional controls
EPiQ posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello! Returning to DCS(Steam) on a new PC build after a long hiatus. In the process of re-binding controls tonight via imports, I realized I couldn't order George AI on the AH64 to do anything, only pop up up the control wheel. Digging into the controls, the George AI Helper section is completely missing the binding options for Down, Left, Up, and Right...and instead only shows: Consent To Fire Show/Hide Helper interface Request aircraft control TADS Store Target I saw a similar post from 2022 which was solved by "repairing" DCS, but I think that's directly referencing the native client vs the steam one. I've tried verifying all 500GB of steam files and it had didn't solve it. Would anyone be able to give me some tips to address this, or possibly direct me to some replacement config files that may show the missing binds or something? w -
When I input mgrs coords, it doesnt create a point, pls help. Im doing everything right... F-16 MGRS input bug.trk

While loading Control Measures to the AH-64D at the helicopter spawn, the system is not reacting to the "late activation" flag used in the mission editor, that leads to the situation, that even hidden/ not yet present units can be found by their coordinates via Controll Measures. This leads to a non immersive situation where the AH-64 pilot know like god from where to expect enemys. Although it leads in big missions to an overload of CMs in the AH64, when alle late activation units were loaded at the spawn of the heli.

I'm very confused about comms in mission 5: I don't know if I did something wrong here or it is just a bug. I take off, follow prince until wp3 where we start dogfighting. From what I read I should expect prince telling me to monitor guard, which he never did. so we enter iranian airspace, I call strike, hear nothing and realize that I'm on channel one, my bad, so I switch to two, and strike warns me to monitor guard. When I'm coming back a message tells me to switch to channel 1 (flight) on pri, but I'm still on strike and we are talking there. What am I not seeing here?

Aircraft is cold started, when as pilot, i try to was the missiles, IHADs displays "MSL type?" and the missile type is locked to SAL in wpn page (aircarft is armed with 16x Lima Hellfires). Tried to change loadout, and the again back to 16x Lima's same result. As you can see, there is a vertical bar in front of the SAL selection. aar2.trk

I can get NDB from all the other airports, but not Kutasi, 113.60. I wasted an hour trying to get it to work from Kutasi in the quick start runway just to teach me more about NDB, then started over at other airports, and found NDB works for all around there but Kutasi. If you really need a track/log let me know, but I would bet will show up with anybody. AH-64

Some trucks in the small town are unable to be destroyed. Looks like two on each side of the road. Tried with APKWS, AMG65 and guns. Also hit with the GBU-12 next to them in the very start of the attack. Getting no confirmation from ground crew that threat is over because of this. Wingman is also unable or unwilling to attack them.

Just flew the mission for the first time and was confused because there was no EA-6B Prowler (Astro 55) in the air. Looking at Tacview afterwards, it looks like it spawned as a FA-18C Hornet. Running DCS-MT 2.9.1.48111 Open Beta. No mods. Tacview attached. PS. Botched the mission by attacking COUGAR too early and not having SLAMs left when I was supposed to do so. So went in for guns and then ended mission early... Tacview-20231117-131715-DCS-RODF M12.zip.acmi

I noticed the DLZ for GPS guided bombs is again popping up overlapping the ARC-210 frequencies. It should be a couple lines lower. I recall this had happened a few updates in the past, but I couldn't find it in the changelog, and it seemed to have been fixed for a while. T

FCR may lock targets which have already been destroyed. Is that a normal behavior? I killed wreckages over and over again today.

Hi. After yacht rescue is done there is call to RTB and contact Marshall. I tried twice and there is no F10 option or other triggered option for this radio call. I changed freq on Radio 1 Channel 3 to 144 as in updated kneeboard. In second attempt I set Radio 1 Channel 3 on 144 and Radio 2 Channel 4 on 142.2 - hit spacebar and nothing happens like in situation above. You can land on Mother and finish mission with 100% but still .. I did not not hit the radio button or confirmed changing freq on R1Ch3 with enter - maybe this is the reason ?

Good morning I noticed that on DCS open beta 2.9.1.48111 on the AH-64 the "autostart sequence" does not work well Thank you in advance for your answer

Hello dear Community, when I put my power lever into idle, my lever starts shaking and I cant increase the power. It always goes back to idle. I already unbinded all my power lever commands, because my first thought was that something of my equipment is damaged. But the lever is still shaking and always jumos back to idle whenever I tried to increase it. Restarting the game wont change anything and I have this problem in training missions too. I hope someone can help me.

Title says it all. Not a huge issue for me but probably for a newer player. I normally do a regular cold start but its been so long since I’ve flown the viper I couldn’t remember how to do it. So autostart it was. Took a few restarts and trying to figure out why my navigation wasn’t cooperating at all…. Low and behold yes, that’s right, autostart doesn’t do the very last thing needed… turning the INS knob to NAV after alignment …. Is this intentional?
