Emergency landing on Persian Gulf map Instant mission bug?

In this mission, a couple minutes after the first engine goes out the second one does as well. From then on I do not have any control over the plane and thus I cannot make it to the divert airfield.

Even if I jettison all stores, turn off dead engine master switch and generator. Once second engine dies I cannot restart it.

Anyone tried this mission and had success?

I wonder if the mission is as intended, but the second engine cutting out is causing the issue, as discussed here:
