OH-58 Multidisplay keyboard binds CTD

I am encountering a locked up DCS/DCS not responding when I try to use the default keybinds ctrl-win and keyboard keys when entering tgt info.  I am running MT.  I can use the cockpit controls just fine using the mouse but when I try the keybinds it stops responding.
