HI,

I've decided to dip a toe into DCS and VR but with a limited budget I went for the Quest 3.

After watching a few video's there seems to be a few ways to set this up and achieve an enjoyable experience.

My PC is a i9-12900k with a EVGA 3090 FTW -

So far:-

I have installed Virtual Desktop (VDXR) and Open XR Toolkit and copied the DCS MT to the Desktop.

Any help appreciated with the basic settings and any required / advised settings in DCS - Graphics -VR

Thank you in advance.

At first I would suggest you try it with the cable, if you have it, and the official Quest Link connection.

In that case you have to install the Meta Quest App on your PC and also on your cellphone.

Then you start Quest Link within your headset menus. Don‘t worry, that it says „Rift S“ there.

if you want to try Virtual Desktop, you also need the „Virtual Desktop Streamer App“ running on your PC. You also need a solid (meaning: fast) WiFi 6 router. Ideally that router would be just there for the purpose of connecting the PC with the headset. The PC should be connected to that router via ethernet cable. Personally I tried with a WiFi 6 mesh extender and that works as well, but note, that there is noone else on my WiFi causing traffic.
