bop1701 Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Does anyone know what the numbers on the bottom of the RWR mean? They don't seem to be the bearing to a threat on the scope. Thanks
Gadreel Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) It is the bearing, relative to where the nose of the aircraft is pointing, to the threat with the highest priority. The top priority threat has a diamond around the letter/number. In this case the RWR classifies the H on the top left as the top priority threat and displays a diamond around it. You can find more details in the manual: Radar Warning Receiver - Heatblur F-4E Phantom II Edited June 21, 2024 by Gadreel
G.J.S Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Just imagine your nose - no matter where it’s pointing - is 360/0 degrees, your tail is 180. In your pic the priority threat is at approximately 300 degrees relative to your nose (therefore roughly 10 o’clock). - - - The only real mystery in life is just why kamikaze pilots wore helmets? - - -
Zabuzard Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) Or in other words, it is just repeating what you already know by the position of the threat symbol anyways, bad guy at 10 oclock Edited June 21, 2024 by Zabuzard
