SOLVED: SEE MY SECOND COMMENT IF YOU GET STUCK ON THIS AS WELL.

So far, really enjoying this campaign. However, currently playing Mission 7 and I think something might be broken?

Took off no problem. Linked up with Pala at WP1. Cruised in formation with him and Ram 2 throughout several waypoints.

Get the 99 message that a nearby airbase had been attacked. Pala takes off for high CAP while RAM 2 and head over to the coordinates to check out the airfield.

Big fire and we're told an insurgent convoy was seen heading SW but not precise coordinates. Basically saying we have to find them.

I've been flying for 20 minutes back and forth, following every road at low altitude and have not seen a single vehicle for miles away from the airfield. Thinking maybe the "southwest" direction was wrong, I started checking northwest and southeast. Nothing.

I even turned on labels thinking I'd easily spot them that way. Nothing. There is no unit anywhere within 10's of miles that shows a label.

Just to see what would happen, I did the "Spotted convoy" with the F10 menu and now I'm cleared hot on em, but they're still nowhere to be found.

Can you double check this? I'm thinking maybe the enemy units didn't spawn correctly?

Thanks

Ok, I figured it out. The convoy IS there, it's just nowhere near the airport. Def keep following the main road that heads SW and you'll eventually find them! Just wasn't expecting them to be that far away but I guess they're speeding since they just attacked the airport!

I'll leave this up for anyone else that may run into this.

Hi @MSMStannyl

Use your radar in GMT mode ( picks up moving vehicles) point your aircraft in the given direction and you will locate them, no need to search, you can then lock them up on the radar and then select the Maverick screen make it active and uncage and you will have a Maverick lock on them.

Hope this helps.

Yep, I got it. I just wasn't expecting them to be that far away. I think I must've searched close to the runway for too long and they got pretty far from. They're there tho!

Hi, really enjoying this one.  But having a cluster munition issue.  What height should they be fused at and not seeming to work?

thanks

Hi @Biggles81

Are you getting the cluster munitions activating as soon as they are released? If so think this is a DCS bug. Report it on the bugs forum as it is DCS not the mission scripting. 👍

Won’t be at my rig for a few weeks.

Hi, i think the issue is with the targets at the second location around the houses.  I've hit them with JDAMS as the CBUs are screwy.  Killed everything there but it's not moving the mission on.

thanks

Had the same problem, you nrrd the CBUs anyway, even if not hitting, to trigger the prompt to continue, look here

@Biggles81

I will need to check but it may be a requirement to use the CBUs as planned to progress the mission.
Not at my rig for a couple of weeks.

Spoiler

The truth is when you drop your bombs matrix will finish of and destroy the last of them and the mission will progress even if you destroy the targets or not.

This is the reasom why I left CBUs loaded ( on a CVER) and added a JDAM.

Not sure about the issue with CBU's. I didn't have that problem. Granted, my first time through I used CBU's on the convoy and then didn't have them for the house. Lol. I replayed it, and kept the CBU's for the camp. Did my 2 drops with them. Worked perfectly. Then my wingman dropped his GBU's and camp was gone and mission succeeded.
