The copilot cyclic has a "NAV Designate Function Select" button.
Anyone know what this does and how to use it? Thanks!

UpdateThere is info on this if you Google search. Seems it's for manual NAV updating when the EGI is in INS mode only. It uses the "offset navigation update" method, an alternative to a flyover update. The procedure basically involves the MMS, a current PREPT as the desired landmark, hovering no closer than 500m from the landmark, point tracking the landmark, NAV designating (this switch) to put the NAV system in the offset update mode, firing the laser (and accepting/rejecting the update if the error is > 300m). Not simulated in the module at the moment as far as I can tell.
