Gideon312 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) **Description:** The AI pilot of the OH58D Kiowa loses track of the RAD altitude when activated in mid-air. This issue does not occur if the AI pilot is first activated while the aircraft is on the ground. **Steps to Reproduce:** 1. Start an instant action mission. 2. Allow the AI pilot to take control. 3. Command the AI pilot to hover at 20 feet. 4. Observe that the AI pilot correctly hovers at 20 feet. 5. Command the AI pilot to land. 6. Once landed, take manual control of the aircraft. 7. Hover manually at 10 feet. 8. Activate the AI pilot while hovering, command him to hover/fly at 20 feet. **Expected Behavior:** The AI pilot should be able to hover at 20 feet as commanded. **Observed Behavior:** The AI pilot is unable to hover at the commanded altitude of 20 feet when activated in mid-air. **Additional Information:** - This bug is consistently reproducible. - The issue appears only when the AI pilot is activated in mid-air, suggesting a problem with altitude recognition upon mid-air activation. - This bug was initially discovered via this forum post: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/351441-kiowa-integrated-overlays-kio-wa-ai-and-mfk-overlay/?do=findComment&comment=5475024 Please investigate and address this issue to ensure the AI pilot can correctly manage the RAD altitude when activated in mid-air. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
