Looks like you need to create a new roughmet dds file.

When doing liveries for a metal finish aircraft some creators set the roughmet to have a different reflectivity for aircraft markings.   If you make a new livery and do not adjust a roughmet dds it will show the "dull" areas where the original markings were.

ok thanks

do you think i can copy/paste a roughtmet DDS from another livreries, and edit the description.lua to include the line for the roughmet ?

You can copy and paste but you might have alignment issues and they may have other areas where the metallic finish has been manipulated and you could end up with different shadows.

Another quick way to do it is to make a copy of the current roughmet, then clone and "paint" out the areas that were used before.  They will be evident when you look at the texture.  Usually the metal surface will be a bluish color and the markings less so.  Of course this leaves you with a reflective surface where you have your markings.

The best way of course is the set up a new roughmet using the RGB values and create layers for the different reflective levels for the livery.
