toebone Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 My DCS has become an absolute dumpster fire the past week or so, finally today after much frustration I think I got it fixed... but then... I go into a server and get ready to cold start, and my Jester wheel is cut off again like it was on initial release. I went back and forth with the special setting for fixing the resolution with no change. I don't seem to see any other reports of this problem, so I am kinda at a frustrated loss. Any suggestions or a "Duh, here is the easy fix you should have known" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Toebone 2
toebone Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 I lowered the resolution and it is a complete wheel now, but small and offset. I will tinker with it more later on and report. If anyone has another fix I'm all ears.
diego999 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 If you were using a X or Y offset, the latest patch deleted it so the wheel is cut again. I just added the same offset I had before (-500 X) and it's complete. 1
MBot Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 I also have problems after the latest patch. After the first patch I could get the wheel to work correctly without using "VR mirror use system resolution", but the 2nd patch seems to have reverted this and now the UI (wheel and bomb table) is cut off to the side again with every other combination of options I use. I really don't want to use the "VR mirror use system resolution" option just because of the Phantom (with the VR mirror only using part of the screen, I can glance at various other useful things on my desktop through the nosegap of the headset). It was possible before the latest patch and I would like to keep it that way. Reverb G1 user here. That new UI is really a huge PITA to get to work correctly. Hours of poinless tinkering required so far. I dread the moment the F-14's cristal clear, precise and fast UI migrates to the new system...
SturmVogel Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Hi all! Same problem... Any resolution for this? 1

August patch do nothing. Jester wheel unusable. Try to do small HBUI resolution and change position. But it makes completely dissapear Jester question panel, like alignment type and flight altitude. Dear @Zabuzard, why HB has no reaction to this problem so long? DCS support says it's not they problems, because F4 is 3rd party... P.S. WMR system with Odyssey+.

The renderable surface and its size is defined by ED, not us.It being cut off is due to forcing it via your settings to a too low resolution. That is, the area is limited by the resolution you have set for your 2d mirror when flying in VR.The fix, as explained in other similar threads, is to set "Use DCS System Resolution" in the VR settings and then to set a resolution in the graphics settings that is at least FULL HD (1920x1080). And don't forget to restart. ED said they are on it and they also already applied a partial fix a few months ago. 1
