450Devil Posted July 19 Posted July 19 When the RWR detects a radar that is not in its "known radar" library it displays a U symbol . I have noticed that often the U has a number of dots inside the symbol (see attached screenshots - one displaying the unknown radar of a Grisha class corvette (one dot inside the U) and the other of the unknown radar of a Molniya class frigate (three dots inside the U symbol). What is the significance of the dots?
Cat107 Posted July 19 Posted July 19 (edited) Hi, the number of dots indicates the band in which the unknown radar is detected: one - low band two - mid band three - high band This will info be added to the manual soon Edited July 19 by Cat107 4 2
450Devil Posted July 20 Author Posted July 20 Will HB be identifying the frequency range for each Band? and whether these are IEEE or NATO designations? 1
Solution Cat107 Posted July 22 Solution Posted July 22 For ALR-46 it's more or less like that in NATO designation system: Low band: E/F Medium band: G/H High band: I/J
