Hi,

If possible, I am looking for a pointer in the right direction with the following:

So I have been using the Mission Editor for a few weeks now, adding triggers, actions and so on and all is going well.  However, as the number of triggers increase I thought how best to try and limit those.  So my idea was to push as much as I can, out to a script file. E.g. I have five messages that are individually triggered when a group (I have five groups) is dead; thats ok to do in the ME and I have moved those checks (if a group is dead send a message) to the script file and it does work, however I only get the message displayed if I refresh the script.  `so `I am thinking I need to somehow trigger those checks from the ME somehow or can I get DCS with MIST to repeatedly check the status of each group without any calls from the ME.  Appreciate anyone help in maybe guiding me in the right approach.  Regards. Shuggie.

Here's information on some Mist scripts that I have gathered over the years.  I do like to script messages into a Mission Status script, with flags to control the flow.  Maybe these examples will help you.  The Flags document uses numerical values; those number values could be replaced with a naming scheme, now that flags allow alpha characters.

Enjoy!
