Change airdromes.lua => crash at loading effects

Hi,

 

everytime I load a mission/campaign/track... the game crashes with an

APPCRASH at "initializing effects", right after I edited scripts/world/airdromes.lua.

 

I just wanted to change some frequencies of the airports and therefore I edited the file. After restarting the game, it crashes.

Then I undo my changes and save again (sorry, I hadn't made a copy),

but it crashes always on initializing the effects.

 

I think, I saved the File with wrong encoding. (UTF-8)

 

My PC:

Core 2 Quad Q6600

4 GByte DDR2-800 RAM

ATI Radeon HD4870 512MByte VRAM

Windows Vista Home Premium 64Bit SP1 (and all other updates)

German Version of Black Shark (DVD)

Which text editor did you use? Notepad is discouraged, since it can cause syntax corruption and such. Notepad++ is preferred, since it is designed specifically with coding in mind.

Yes, I used Notepad. I didn't know that Notepad can cause Problems.

I will try to download Notepad++, use it to save the file again and then

I reply again.

Nope, it doesn't help.

Can someone upload the original file? I don't find it on DVD.

And how it is encoded?

The Encoding is "UTF-8 without BOM".
