The only real selling point of the new launcher as best I can tell is that it is a quality of life improvement for VR users (I am one), but it is mega-frustrating to have to disable easy comms every time you boot the game. I had hoped based on the numerous bug reports about this that it would be fixed for the hotfix... apparently unfixed, however.
