Dusty Rhodes Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Try the disk in another computer. If recognized in the other computer then you might have a bad DVD player. If not recognized, you might have a bad disk. Troubleshooting 101, I love it. I placed this call for help out while at work because I was hoping for the," Oh yeah just go here and check this box and it should work response". I am off for the next four days and wanted to spend a little time on "flipping" the Sharks switches. Thanks, Molar

Molarman777 Posted May 16, 2009 Author Posted May 16, 2009 Thanks for all the advice. I cannot even see whats on the disk, I go to click on the dvd drive and nothing comes up, the dvd drives doesnt even recognoize there is anything in the drive. I am pretty confident that it is not my dvd drive(most people always feel its the disk or the software;)) If I could even see what was on the disk I would copy and try the mentioned thread but I cannot, so I will try a new disk and see if that will work. Thanks again for all the help. Molar

PoleCat Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was about to suggest a firmware update for his optical drive. It could be that his specific drive would not recognize some newer media with out it. Glad he got it worked out though. Enjoy! Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
