Gyster Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 (edited) Since the last update, FPS starts as it used to, at 75 fps. I have refresh rate set to 75hz. After an hour or two playing on multiplayer server, frame rates begin to drop and eventually get down to mid-40s. Leaving the server and coming back in restores fps to 75 for a period of time and the process repeats. The guys I fly with are experiencing the same behavior. My system - i913900 on a Z790 MSI Tomahawk Max wifi, Asus RTX 4090 OC, 64GB DDR5 6400, Samsung 2TB ssd, Pimax 8kx. I haven't been able to remedy this - it is very consistent and persistent. After a couple of hours, the frame rate starts to drop and stuttering gets progressively worse over time. Edited August 4, 2024 by Gyster 1
Martinbulldog Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Getting very bad FPS drops to 45, before update I had it stable at 72FPS online, No settings have been changed. Now FPS is all over the place and I have a 7800X3D ,4900, 64GB DDR5, M2 drive, Pimax crystal, Windows 10.
DragonSoulkin Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 I noticed this too and checked my RAM and would end up with DCS taking 30-50gb of ram, if I didn't have 64gb of ram it would be completely unplayable after a short time.
Dangerzone Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Check to see if your CPUs are parking the core. It might be worth trying the registry entry that turns off core parking and see if that has any results. From my experience it seems windows has a habit of enabling parked cores again after it does updates and it’s a real issue when it does for me with DCS.
Cobras_13 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Same thing happening for me. Seems to be worse on the Normandy multiplayer servers. 1
