P.Carrasco =Keep Flying= Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Hello, good morning to everyone in the community. I would like to report a hardware problem that stopped working right after the last game update. I have a Tobi eye tracker that stopped working in M-T. I have already copied the manufacturer's HeadTracker.dll file to the M-T bin folder again, and it still doesn't work. I would be grateful if anyone knows a solution. rob10 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 If you're using the new DCS launcher, turn it off (there's switch in the top right of the options screen) and launch DCS directly and it should work again.
P.Carrasco =Keep Flying= Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 Hi Rob, thanks for trying to fix the problem. I did what you asked, but the Tobi eye tracker still doesn't work on Dcs M-T. I hope it gets fixed in a future update. I'm counting on the Dcs team. I think the game should have native support for Tobi, since it doesn't offer it like other games. For Tobi to work on Dcs, you need to download a .DLL from the manufacturer and install it in the game. I've done that, but it still hasn't worked. I'll check with the Tobi forums to see if there's a solution there. Thanks to everyone, and I'm waiting for a solution. PC. Bob1943 Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Yes, I also wish that DCS would provide native support for Tobi. That is the only thing that has kept me from buying the Tobi Head & Eye Tracker unit.
invisi-wall2 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Is this a tobii or DCS problem to fix? Currently on work-a-round turning off new launcher.
P.Carrasco =Keep Flying= Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 Hello everyone, Tobi's technical support team created an article about this problem, saying to turn off the new panel and everything will be resolved. But nothing has improved, the internal view remains static, looking straight ahead, and even moving the arrows on the control to turn the camera or the pilot's head doesn't work, you feel that the camera or view wants to turn but something won't let it. Tobi's article is this: "Unable to track game window" in DCS World https://help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/articles/26652344460945--Unable-to-track-game-window-in-DCS-World System: Asus TUF Z390-Pro Gaming/ Intel i5-9600k@ Coffeelake 9a Gen/ Water Cooler Corsair Hydro H45/ Corsair Vengeance Lpx 32Gb 3200Mhz/ EVGA GeForce RX 2070 Super 8Gb Gddr6 256Bits/ 1 SSd M2 3gen 1Tb Xpg/ Headset Corsair + SoundCloud BlasterX Pro Gaming AE-5 / Corsair HX1000i W Plus Platinum/ Case Corsair Gamer Series Obsidiam 500D/ LG 32" 4k Monitor Dp/ Track Ir5 w/Clip Pro/ Saitek Hino X56
Solution P.Carrasco =Keep Flying= Posted August 9, 2024 Author Solution Posted August 9, 2024 Hello, today there was an update on dcs: DCS 2.9.7.58923 - 09.08.2024 The changelog contains the following fix: * VR. ST. Oculus. OpenVR. Controllers. Fixed controllers position. And I also did what Tobii support asked: Please try to reconnect DCS to Tobii Game Hub: -Open Tobii Game hub and find DCS world -Click the button shown in the picture (folder) -Select the folder where the game is located , for example, D:\Program\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\bin-mt - Please also bind an Enable/Disable Key and press it multiple times in DCS to get the tracking activated. For me, it worked, at first (in the game running) I had to hold shift + click2 (enable/disable track) mouse and the track eye only worked with the "holding" combination, after about 6 more attempts it started working again without "holding" the same thing happens if want to disable the track. Then it worked again, thanks for the help! I wish all the best to the DCS team and Tobii track eye team and to everyone who read and contributed in some way to fix this bug.
