Calvin.Pimax Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Hey Pimaxian! We are currently evaluating the demand for our hand tracking module, which is temporarily out of stock. Your feedback will help us understand how critical this module is to your VR experience and inform our decision on future production. Please take a moment to share your interest, current usage, and any specific needs you may have for the hand tracking module. Your input is greatly appreciated and will guide us in improving our offerings. Thank you for participating! https://tally.so/r/mV8kAl 1
Panzerlang Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I tried the Leap Motion 2 but it didn't work when plugged directly into the Crystal, it gave two warnings: 1) Not enough port power. 2) USB 2.0 port detected, unit will not run at optimal configuration. As I understand it the Pimax module uses an older version of the Leap PCB and I guess works correctly. If you're going to sell a headset unit with the facility for optional add-ons you're pretty much obliged to maintain supply of them for the service-life of the headset, otherwise you run into the territory of false advertising.
pulqui Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 I'm still waiting on my Crystal Light (hopefully it arrives before my G2 stops working...) but honestly wasn't even aware that there was a Pimax-branded/"native" hand tracking solution until I got curious about hand tracking and started searching for options that would work with the Pimax. I didn't order the hand controllers with my headset because I don't have any interest in that as a pure flight and racing sim user, but I'd definitely like to try hand tracking instead of relying on mouse + binding random extra cockpit things to random extra HOTAS buttons. 1
unclesneep Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I have it.. I use it with htcc and slugmouse to click stuff in the cockpit.. works great!
Panzerlang Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Unfortunately it's still "temporarily out of stock" (for nigh on a year now). Unacceptable behaviour. Purchase | Pimax | Ultraleap | Handtracking Module 1
F19_CoNa Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Will crystal super have USB3 connection? I have a leap motion 2 and it would be nice to be able to use it without any extra cables.
Blackhawk163 Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 The Crystal light appears to have a port near where the display port connects to the hmd. Is that an actual connection waiting for a use case or just a dummy slot? KeyCat Posted Wednesday at 08:19 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:19 PM (edited) Was reading that handtracking is coming for Crystal Lite in the near future (Q3 2025) but it's a bit unclear if it will be a software update solution using the built-in cameras or if you need to buy additional hardware module for it and at what extra cost? Can someone clarify? Functional handtracking in DCS would probably push me over to buy a Crystal Lite. Aapje Posted Wednesday at 11:51 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:51 PM With Pimax it is a very bad idea to assume that they will achieve their roadmap. 1
