kuschmu Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Since a while I experience a trimming problem with the Mi-8. Just recently I found a thread from 2021 which was marked as solved and which described almost the same effect which I actually suffer from with the exception that the small caret jump goes down and left on the controls indicator. On 5/23/2021 at 4:24 PM, Donglr said: Hi all, I use a regular TM Warthog with spring to fly the Mi8. I discovered yesterday, that the trimmer does not work anymore as I remember it. Usually I trim and the caret in the controls indicator stays in the position it was when I pressed the trim button. Now (maybe since the last update?) the caret always jumps a bit down and right from where I pressed the trim button. You can even "walk" the caret all the way to the bottom right of the controls indicator by repeatedly pressing the trim button without even touching the stick. All other helos work as expected, only the Mi8 has this problem. Also I found that when starting a mission, I tested it with a hot-start instant free flight mission, the caret is already a bit to the bottom-right right from the start, without me touching/pressing anything. Nota bene: What helped in 2021 was obviously to untick the "control helper" option. However in my actual case this option is NOT ticked. Any idea!
kuschmu Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 You Schlingel you were totally right. I was not aware of a possible de-calibration of my Warthog. I directly tried the Windows controller calibration and Voilà, everything works all right now. Although obviously not anymore needed, I nevertheless downloaded the TM tools, despite the age of the tools (~2011) ... you never know . Thanks a lot, Schlingel 1
