The Su-27 DCS, which is lighter, could nicely be compared for landing gear reistance vs a real Su-35 footage

Hi,

Just happened to come across this video and after seeing how the plane was slammed onto the ground at that visible rate. From experience in DCS, the landing gear on our lighter Su-27 bends quite much for this kind visually memorized vertical rate. I totally agree that I could be wrong, but I'll do some tests as soon as I get the time to see how things compare. This is all for the good of DCS, not for the bad of it.

Regards.

When you can't prove something with words, let the math do the talking.

I have an insatiable passion for helping simulated aircraft fly realistically. Don't underestimate my knowledge before understanding what I talk about!

Totally agree…. The actual landing gear is way too weak! Yestarday landing in a demo flight 3600kg fuel, no extra payload…made a  touchdown a little bit hard and crashed lh mlg and nose ldg….. i know it isnt undestructible but, this is too much…. I m aircraft mechanic with experience in ga aircrafts and comercial aircrafts and in my carrer ive seen a lot of cases related to “hard-landing” and even aviation accidents. Just add at least extra 1.5gs to lg straightness  or 20m/s^2 aprox acceleration supported…. Thks ED and keep this excellence, your doing a great job!

Regards
