I’ll say here that I don’t agree with making an F-86F into an F-86H by making a mod that replaces the 6 .50s for the 4 20mm canons.  The F-86H is a completely different aircraft and fuselage when compared to the F-86F in that it was much larger to accommodate not only the canons but also a much larger engine and electronics package.  But the time it the F-86H came to active duty in 1954 it was already an obsolete airframe as other aircraft could do much, much better.  By 1958 it was dumped into guard service.  It would be like sticking a 66 inch chest on a 4-9” girl - looks ok, but fails in execution!

To be fair, there are F-2 valiant, which has x4 prototype of M39 20mm cannons.

These were variants manufactured as part of the Project Gun-Val program in the early 1950s. These aircraft were pivotal in the transition of the U.S. Air Force's standard guns from the WWII-era .50cals to 20mm cannons.
