VIXEN413 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Hello all, just transitionning from a G2 to a Cristal light... installed the whole lot yesterday. I ve installed the Pimax tool app, the openxr pimax runtime, I had already open xr toolkit for the G2 so I just reseted all settings, I m also usig the quadview companion. I ve been using these settings and values for my 3080ti (altough here, it's for a 3080) All in all, got myself in a good spot and it's running awesome in clarity and frames.... Happy camper, well, almost.... While in-game, there is a sort of square, in front of each eye, where the image looks to have a different tint. Just like if there was a filter applied or a ghost "see trough" kinda box from another app, not quite sure what it might be... I tought that with the added clarity, I was seeing the jhmcs reflection zone where the helmet can project the data in the hornet (but unlike the apache it is not a modeled thing in the f18) but older planes also have it.... Is it a local dimming thing? or the frontier between the LED/QLed Panels? or quadview playing tricks?. Any idea? best regards Rig: MB Gigabite z390UD, CPU Intel I7 8700k, RAM 32G DDR4 3200 Gskill ripjaws, GPU MSI RTX2080SuperOC, HDD Crucial mx500 1tb M2 sata, PSU Corsair 850W, watercooling Corsair h100, Controlers TM f/a 18 stick on Virpil warbrd base, TM cougar f16 stick on cougar base, Cougar F16 throttle on TUSBA, ch pedals, TM cougar MFD 27" monitor with trk IR 5 and HP Reverb HMD. Calvin.Pimax Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 The square box you mentioned should be the foveated rendering. It provides the best resolution within the box (depending on your configuration), while outside the square box, you'll notice a blurrier or lower-resolution image.
