As soon as I touched down on the ship one skid exploded and then the main blades flew off into space. It was a soft touchdown. Is this ship meant to be landed on?

I am sorry, I know it is quite hard to land there and it needs to be really smooth and steady. But as discussed in the threat below, I take the criticism and will adjust the mission a bit by putting in an addional trigger that you can also just hover over the containers. That will maybe make it a bit easier.
