DCoffey Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I know you can bind multiple controls to the same thing (multiple things on say x or y axis) Is it possible to bind multipls DCS controls to one physical control? Example: I have x-56 and it has 2 rotary dials, the huey has 6 rotory dials for instrument lights, panel lights, overhead lights for both pilot and copilot. Is it possible to bind multipls light dials to one or more physical dials on the x-56? I have had no luck thus far.
450Devil Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 If what I think you are trying to do, then the answer is Yes. You can set up Modifiers and then add the Axis into the appropriate setup control. For example, if I were to set up the Joystick Switch 4 on my Sidewinder Wheel as a Modifier. I could then added that Modifier plus a rotary control on my Throttle for zooming my view. To zoom in and out I would first switch Joystick Switch 4 on and then rotate the rotary control. In your case with 2 rotary controls on your X-56 you could assign six different switches on your other controllers as Modifiers and then assign the rotary controls as desired. Alternatively, you could to set keyboard keys (for example, LAlt, A, Del .......) as Modifiers (most are already setup as Modifiers in the Controls Setup); assign the relevant rotary dial. To operate this alternative setup you would need to hold the relevant key down when operating your rotary dials. There are YouTube vids on creating Modifiers in DCS - here is one
