How do I point the DCS launcher to my new SIM location? If this is Steam, you cannot do it that way. But it is very easy. In the Steam app you just define a new, (additional), Steam Library location on the new drive. Then you select DCS and right click, settings, move and select the new Steam Library.Easy peasy! Cheers! EDIT: Read it again. Are you swapping out a drive? Then you can just temporarily copy the Steam Library on the existing drive to ie. C:\ Then install the new drive. Give it the same drive name. Copy back. That's it. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 2
sleighzy Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Another option is to install the Standalone version of DCS on your new drive. This will give you things such as 2 week free trials of planes and maps, as well as ED miles to go towards purchases of other planes/maps. Any modules that you have purchased on Steam can be transferred to Standalone. Just download the DCS installer from the web site and run it. It should attempt to find an existing Steam installation and copy the files from there so you don't have to do a full download. 1 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

MAXsenna Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Then you just move it. Copy or drag and drop. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1
