Vernibob Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Hi All, Returning DCS Player, old pc couldn't hack it any more so i have been away for about 18months, but im back with a beefy new system. However, when trying to download DCS Standalone I get about 5mb/s . - I get 40mb/s everywhere else (even in my test of briefly seeing how fast the steam version would download). I have enabled auto-tuning feature through cmd with a pc restart and I have made the ED folder and the DCS folder exempt from Windows Defender - Is there anything else I can try? or is it a case of suck it up and put up and try and install it over a week? Luckily there are other downloads i can do for now! Thanks in advance, look forward to getting back on the servers

It's 8 times the difference, that's why I ask. Do you still have you3okd system? To save some time, you could actually copy over the old installation, and only download what's updated. Vernibob Posted October 18, 2024 Author Posted October 18, 2024 Sorry bud, i meant Megabytes (MB/s). unfortunately i wanted the 500gb back after DCS became unplayable so I uninstalled. I have toyed with the idea of downloading through steam though and seeing if I can transfer any of the files that way. But again, its all the modules after that!

But again, its all the modules after that! That will actually work, and you don't have to do anything. The Updater will find them.
