Timm Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) Hi Guys, Need some info/help here please. Now I have turned down the in-cockpit sound via the option window in BS,and great engine sound reduced, click sound reduced, cannon can't hear at all which I would think being an external sound and with my helmet on I would not hear any way. OK question time : When I launch my missiles I can hear them being launched in fact they give off a very high launch sound from inside the cockpit, is there a way I could reduce the sound down to a more quieter sound in the cockpit, like that of the cannon but keep the more realistic sound when viewed from the outside ? leafer Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I can't hear missiles and guns in outside view either. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
44HardCorps Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi Timm, Go to the Sounds file and open Sound.cfg with Notepad++ and find the entry for "Missile Launch", you should always edit these files with Notepad++, in which case the entry should be at line 95. You'll need to tinker with the volume setting (it should be set to 1.0). You could try 0.5? Or maybe using a different Silence setting? I've not tried it so I'm not sure what results you will get. Hope this helps.
