IFR Hood - why on backseat ?

I recently hopped into the MB339 again and started wondering: Why is there a blind in the backseat but not for the front seat ?

Isn´t the back where the instructor usually sits ? Why would he need the ifr hood ?

Or are rl IFR trainings done from the backseat ?

When in doubt - climb. Nobody ever collided with air.

On the MB-339, during IFR training, the instructor is supposed to be on the front seat to have major visibility.
This is for flight safety purposes.
Installing a IFR hood on the front seat it would affect the instructor visibility, and the instructor must be aware of everything.
