AI de-spawn after a time

Hi Guys

I use AI in my missions as eye candy. I may have an aircraft land at an active airfield and park up. After a while, the AI aircraft vanishes. For example, I have a plane land while I am prepping my aircraft. It parks up, the pilots get out - all good so far. I fly my mission and when I return the AI aircraft has gone. Is there a time limit for this behaviour?
