mason.zh Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Hi, I'm happy with my Winwing Orion pedals, but my only issue is that the spring force is too strong. Since Winwing does not provide any lighter springs in their store, I'm wondering if you guys have any idea where can I get a lighter spring? Also, after searching I've found some people use the rudder band to place the spring in their Thrustmaster pedals, in this case, what size of the rudder band should I get? Thank you all.
YSIAD_RIP Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) I feel your pain. I used a rubber Tarp Bungee that I picked up from Princess Auto. Most hardware stores carry similar. Used a 9 inch and cut it but 4 inch looks good too. Had to "drill" bigger holes in order to slip it over the mounts where the spring usually goes. https://trisontarps.ca/store/product/tarp-strap-bungees-with-crimped-s-hooks/?srsltid=AfmBOopZj7AWK10yba4CWXUu--eo26BtFzgcr5-nP3HzPkh8nl0BrjFy Edited November 18, 2024 by YSIAD_RIP Do not own: | F-15E | JF-17 | Fw 190 A-8 | Bf 109 | Hardware: [ - Ryzen7-5800X - 32GB - RX 6800 - X56 HOTAS Throttle - WINWING Orion 2 F16EX Grip - TrackIR 5 - Tobii 5C - JetPad FSE - ]

I bought some rubber tarp bungee from Amazon and it works great! Also, during the waiting time I've identified the reason why I wanted a lighter spring - due to my caster wheel office chair that I use for flightsim. (ye, that's dumb). So, I bought some caster wheel stoppers and now my chair is solid when I push the pedals, but I have to say the rubber feels better than spring, especially with the damper turned to high setting. Thanks again! 1
