topol-m Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Guys, a problem appeared when i installed some mods on FC. It may not be related to the mods but anyway ill post them if it will help for solving it: FPS Tweak version 2.0G7; Scenery mod 1.1; Runway lights mod; Western style runways; Dec 1708 enhanced terrain. So whats happening - randomly i`m loosing control of the aircraft when i move the joystick. A sound like some windows alert or message can be heard when the loss of control occures. Its for several seconds then i regain control but meanwhile the aircraft is not reacting to my commands. Also at the same moment the torque is also changing - if i`m in afterburner when the controll loss is happening the torque is immediately changed from afterburner to 65%. I suspected some of the last mods installed may be responsible for this problem so i uninstalled the FPS Tweak - to no effect. I doubt the rest are causing that, but... At this point the game is unplayable please help :helpsmilie: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I'd check my HOTAS, you use one right?!! This all sounds like communication issue, this Win alert sound that you hear might indicate a loss of communication with an external device, i.e. your HOTAS being unplugged. Hence no input from the stick, throttle dead etc. Did you connect your stick to a USB at the back MoBo panel or into a external USB hub?! If second, is it additionaly powered? Did you check input signal from your stick, is it stable and consistent? Does this happen in some particlular position of the throttle or stick, like for instance only if you deflect the stick to a full left roll?! I ask because some of the cables inside might be pinched by a coil if there's one in the stick U use, or a wires might be worn out, poorly wired or in short circuit! All in all I don't really think it's the mods U use, I'd check USB ports and power supply! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks Vekkinho for the reply. I did run a test of the stick and the same sound appears saying the controller is not connected so the problem i`m sure now is in it. Its doing it only when pushed back or back right/left. Maybe its time for a new one :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sniffer Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 If You wanna eliminate stick from suspicions just unplug it. Then make test flight with keys... If problem still appears You can start searching in system/game/mods... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I tested the stick in windows in control panel/game controllers and its having connection problems when pushed back so that must be it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
