Multiplayer connection problem

A friend of mine and I tried to fly multiplayer with me connecting to him. His mission came up in the list, I clicked that on, but when I tried to connect, I got a warning message WRONG CALL SIGN. I have no idea what that means or where it came from.

It looks like a lot of people viewed my problem, but no help. I don't know if I couldn't explain it well enough, or like me, you never saw anything like this before.

The only thing I could think to do is take a photo of my monitor with the warning so maybe someone could tell me what it means and how to deal with it.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

In the very top right corner of the MP screen there is the Callsign you'll be shown as on the MP server (and SRS if you're using that).  Try changing that (or adding a callsign if you haven't added one) -- press the pencil to the right of it.  I've never seen that error, but it would suggest there is already someone on the server with the same callsign.  If you've both left it to the default (can't even remember what that is) it may not like it because they'll both be the same.
