Silent Warrior Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I recently got this urge to go nuts with some eye-candy in LOMAC (not that my system can even try to run that at over 20 FPS, but that's another story), which means: Full shadows, self-shading goodness. Or so I thought... No self-shading. It's worked before! A recent breakthrough in my FPS-hunt: Scenery to Low gives me the mother of all FPS-boosts. Really. System (I expect this is all the relevant info, otherwise, just say so): Intel P4 2 GHz 512 Mb RDRAM Radeon 9700 Pro 128 Mb Catalyst 5.3 LOMAC 1.02 DirectX 9.0c Mods active through Loman 2.1 (updated 2/4): Realistic Moon Mod A-10 Zimsters Snow Dark camo for SU-25 F-15 Japan MiG-29C #8 9th FW BELBEK AB 2048x2048 MikeF-15I OTIS ANG F15 skin SU27 Black Knights Su-33 Yellow Squadron (oh, hush, I just had to) A-10A: When HOGs Fly Campaign EU FLASHPOINT v1.00 PART ONE EU FLASHPOINT v1.00 PART TWO Mig-29S Two Day War pilot_high_g_breathing_and_bitching_betty_for us_(it exceeds maximum table-cell width here) pilot_high_g_breathing_and_nagging_nadia_for_ru(exceeding width again) zzzspace v8.0 soundpack for LOCK ON 1.02 Cloud MOD v1.0 Sun&Ambient Light Color Adjustement High Res HUD Fonts (US/UK) Missile textures A-10 HighRes Desert Skin Chinese airforce skin EJ Mi-24 Hind GDR earth tone camo - plain skin F14 SkinPack HighRes v.2.0 Part 1 In my Bazar\effects\shad-folder, I have one .dat-file and a slightly different backup. Silent Warrior Posted April 2, 2005 Author Posted April 2, 2005 Nope, that didn't work. Anyone? Even suggestions to reinstall are accepted. ... *Tumbleweed bounces past*
Bungle_uk Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 just a thought but perhaps a different g card driver? I have no evidence to back this up but it would be something i would try
Silent Warrior Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 Hm, yes... Damn ATI... First they knock out whatever made the Freespace 2 Open-team's shinemapping go, and now, apparently, LOMAC's self-shading... *Sigh* You nVidia-boys/gals are still having self-shading, right?
aap_flanker Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I have the solution!!! Check and install "Omega Driver for NVidia"... In the next link chose your OS and download... http://www.omegadrivers.net/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=section&id=2&Itemid=55 To install, first uninstall your video drivers, reset, and install it...
