The_Cokester Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 So I typically fly the F-18 so changing frequencies for the two different AWACS isn't an issue. Not to mention data link. But when flying the F15C, you rely heavily on the bogey dope calls. In growling Sidewinder's PVP server he has two AWACS setup for the Blue side. After using RSHIFT+M twice to make sure only you can only hear requested calls, when I request bogey dope via a key bind, I can here the AWACS try to speak and then it immediately cuts out. (I think I am just out of range) And when using the keybind I can only contact the overlord 1-1. But if I use the communication window, I can select the other AWACS (magic 1-1), find the bogey dope in the communication menu and it will work just fine. Problem is, trying to do that in VR is incredibly difficult. So basically, using the bogey dope command keybind just doesnt work depending on where you are at on the map. I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong. I cant tune radios to make the Magic 1-1 the primary radio for bogey dope calls.

You can bind a hat on your HOTAS to browse the Comms Menu. Open Controls Settings, and under the drop down where you select modules. There is a "category" that's called comms or something. Assign a hat/buttons, and the will only be used with the menu when open. When closed, they will behave whatever else they've been assigned to. You must of course also bind a button to open the menu.Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
