WinWing `F16 joystick +EX long lever

Hi

I am new around here and see there are WinWing answers but cannot find a place to ask this so since its a split question perhaps guide me to an answer or to the WinWing forum and how to post this there.

Just received this great stick i.m.o. and am trying to find a use for the long lever that protrudes from the front of the add-on component. It activates a range of button presses it seems . Can anyone advise as to the best use of this in an F18 please.

Do you mean for the F-16 or the F-18?  You're in the F-16 subforum but you said F-18 in your post.  Is it the lever at the bottom of the joystick?  That would be the "paddle switch" in the F-18 and you use it for disengaging autopilot or overriding the G limit.

Hi, Thank you for the reply.

1. I am talking about the WW F16 stick with the extra long lever out front.

2. I fly F18 but use this stick because there are more buttons available than the replica  F18 stick

3. Not sure where to post because it could be any on of the three forums /subjects above.

So you mean the one that activates buttons 1,2,41,42,3 (I was referring to the 7-8/slider lever)?  Don't really have an answer since there aren't a lot of things with that many settings in either of those planes.  INS maybe.  How prone would it be to getting accidentally moved?

I used to have it as my master arm. Master arm off in the down position and on in the fully up. But this is mainly used for the F14 and F4. All other modules I just use a switch on a throttle.

I have big hands and would accidentally trigger/arm it. Not that it matters, as it’s a game so use it or don’t. Maybe as a refueling door switch?
