 hi. how the helmet visor opens and closes.

I believe the way it works is it slides up into the forehead of the helmet.  See that knob on the left hand side near the top?  That's a screw that holds it in place.  You loosen it and the visor comes down and tighten the screw to keep it in place.  Loosen it again, push the visor up and into the helmet, and tighten the screw to hold it in place there.

Or do you mean how do you get the visor to go up/down in the sim?

That part I do not know, sorry.

According to that, it isn't implemented.

You can lower and rise the sun visor in the F-15E, it's very useful
