Little dial on the stick

nullDoes this dial do anything irl? It's not mentioned in the manual. Also does flipping the switch (cover?) next to it flip master arm automatically? I noticed it flips down when master arm is set to on.

This dial is linked to the flap/paddle next to it and allows the pilot to flip it to use the button bellow, it's kind of a safety.
