Frostregen Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) After being my main and trusty setup for many years, I moved on to some new setup. I still think it is a good system, giving the "dead-stick" capability using FFB. Great for helicopter flying. Some notes: G940 Pedals: Rewired to custom Leo Bodnar joystick board, and are connected by USB directly (fixes precision issues from original controller) G940 Stick: Due to its age, the plastic softeners dissolve. This gives a sticky feel to the grip. I removed most of it, so it is not sticky anymore, but it still does not look nice (see pictures). Some work might be necessary to remove all of that stuff. The system itself, the FFB, the LEDs, everything works fine It would be a shame to let it collect more dust in the shelf. If someone wants to continue using it, please let me know. I'm willing to sell it for very little money + shipping. Best, Frostregen PS: Located near Hamburg, Germany Edited February 3 by Frostregen item is sold 1
Treker Posted February 3 Posted February 3 You can remove "sticky" residue with isopropyl alcohol. It looks like new afterwards, glossy, smooth, but like new 1
Frostregen Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 (edited) Thanks for the tip^^ Might help the new owner Back then I did not want to dissolve the plastic even more, that's why I stayed away from alcohol / nitro solutions. I did use some sort of "Orange Oil" if I remember correctly, but it was a lot of manual work already to just get to the point that you can see in the pictures Edited February 3 by Frostregen typo
