beasltyfinn Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Just wondering has anyone here ever tried the track ir on a motion rig? I have motion and wanted head tracking. I have seen that Tobii is fine when installed to a motion rig. I was thinking track ir would work the same assuming I attached the ir camera to the motion rig. It would be lower than when mounted on top of a screen but would only be maybe 6" lower than my eyes? Anyways just curious if anyone here ever tried, would be nice to know before I just buy it. Otherwise tobii is the only chocie I think
SharpeXB Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) I think the camera might be too low when attached to the bottom of a screen. When you look up it’s possible that it could lose sight of the reflectors. But it’s certainly possible to make adjustments to the tracking. Why not just mount it to the top of the screen? I guess you are worried about it falling off. beasltyfinn Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Yeah I was worried it might be an issue, I have triple 4k's that are not attached to my motion rig so it would be and issue tracking my head as it would be moving with the motion as well if it was on my monitor. Tolbi I know works from below so that would be fine but people seem to say it is not so good for DCS. I want to use tracking as I will probably only use my centre monitor for DCS because ti does not support triples very well. Can't get side screen angels right.
