nighteyes2017 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 So what does this setting actually do in the mission editor?
Kanelbolle Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) If you hold the mouse cursor on the option, it will tell you what it does: Edited February 21 by Kanelbolle 1 WARGAMES Servers: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/301046-wargames-server-pvp-and-pve-campaign-servers/ Scripts: RGC & SPGG https://github.com/AGluttonForPunishment/
nighteyes2017 Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 yeah i saw that, but that is not much information. That just calls for more questions than it answers. Like 'when does the AI avoid combat engagements?' This action was written for a reason. What is that reason? So far i have not encountered a situation where this action could have helped me out. How do i use this action exactly?
Priest Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Anytime the AI isn't doing what you want, just use that option and it'll do what you want. 1

The AI now considers (to the best of it's ability in DCS) it's chances of survival and success for engaging the enemy. If you have 2 AI MiG-23s going up against 4 F-15s, the MiG-23s might turn and run instead of engaging, even if their mission is CAP. You can use this feature to disable their limited self-preservation instincts and get them to die for the cause.
nighteyes2017 Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Many thx!. So based on that, it sounds like the better option for that action would be to have it always turned on by default, and have to option to turn it off. Guess ill update my templates to turn this option on. 1
