On the ground during taxi, the plane always pulls to the left. I even made a pretty big deadzone and it kept pulling as if it were recieveing input from my rudder pedal set. I then unplugged the rudders and left the duty to my flight stick, same issue occurs. I tried running the trim full right, and the bug persisted. I never had issues before when I bought this early on it the release cycle.

During take off, with no trim inputs, the plane pulles to the left as I expected. About half way down and about 80kts it pulls violently to the right. When I try and correct the issue the plane 'snakes' all over the runway. I have some pretty generous curves, they aren't abrupt. I tried again with the trim full left and the exact scenario played out. I turn off 'Steering' at about 100kts if I make it that far. Usually I test input along the rollout to see if the rudder is interacting with the wind, then I cut it off.

Take Off Proceedure I use:

  • START UP
  • ALIGN GPS
  • ENTER WPT's
  • ENTER TACAN
  • ENTER ILS
  • ADJUST LIGHTING
  • PROBES HEATED (CAUCUSUS)
  • MASTER ARM ON
  • WEAPONS UNSELECTED
  • CLOSE CANOPY
  • FLAPS TO T/O
  • SPEED BRAKE UP
  • STEERING ON
  • TAXI
  • HOLD AT THE NUMBERS
  • BRAKES HELD ON
  • THROTTLE RUN UP TO 100+
  • BRAKE RELEASE

From here it is anyones game.

@SOLIDKREATE I assume you've already checked for axis conflicts, but to be honest, that's what it sounds like to me. I have never had any issues. Bring up the Controls Indicator, (RCtrl + Enter), to see what the assigned rudder axis does. (Does your stick have a twist axis?). Trimming the rudder on the ground, doesn't trim the front wheel. So I'm not sure why you tried that. In your "check list", you don't mention unlocking the controls, while I assume you do that. 80 knots you say, the front gear will break if nose wheel steering is on above 50 knots. Maybe that's what's triggers the snaking. I never take off with NWS on in case I forgot to turn it off. I use differential steering before I have enough air over the rudder. But like I said, I've never had these issues. I'd be very surprised if you don't have an axis conflict. Spiking potentiometer in a twist axis seems likely. I have not tested after the latest patch, so if something was introduced in it, it could be a bug if course.

Most devs will tell you though. A track or it didn't happen. Best way for other users to see what's going on and rule out any error too.

Cheers!

Oh, yeah I klnow Brother. I just thought that maybe there was a trim bug affecting the steeing. I wanted to test for that. Like I said when this plane first came out I had no issues. How do I bring up the controls on screen like I see Youtubers do? Or is that a MOD they are running?

Oh, I unplugged my rudder pedals and it still did what it did. I'm going to test with the 'Take off from Runway' option only using my keyboard to pump the throttle up and see if it pulls.

@MAXsenna Yeah I'm thinking you're right. There is an axis problem but it does not indicate on the software or the settings in game. It doesnt show a problem the settings in-game either. As you can see the Z-Axis is all quite. I'm going to try MP again on Heatblurs Server.

In the mission editor with keyboard only, no peripherals, it takes off perfectly. With my stick and throttle only, takes off as expected.

When in a MP server, that is when the take off goes haywire. I was just on Heatblurs server (had a great time btw) and that is when the bug came in and bit me.

Huh, that's interesting. There are no stupid winds in those MP missions?
Like I wrote above. Open the Controls Indicator with Right Control + Enter. Then you can see what's happening with the axis.
What happens if you do the cold start training mission, then take off?

I would say a conflict but also depend could be the wind settings in the server maybe? Worth double checking. I mostly fly MP and I never experience that tbh, if it happens I kormally balance with tow breaks a Lil bit. Once in flight does it have the same tendency?

Well after a few hours of testing today, it's a MP server issue. The winds are not high enough on the servers I flew to cause such a violent reaction. Furthermore, I discovered that sometimes 'STEER' will not engage while taxiing. The brakes will not work. This happened numerous times. On sigle-player, I do not have these issues. Maybe it is caused by the server Admins limited weapon types. I noticed on some servers certain weapons were not able to be equiped like the 127mm rockets.

Weapons yes is all based to whom set the server.

Nose wheel is not supposed to be disabled beyond 50 KTS, it can get damaged.

The NWS light didn't light up, or you just couldn't turn? Why didn't you do the cold start training? It will teach you the correct procedure.
Behind the stick, there's a lock lever you have to disengage before you can move the stick and pedals.
Cheers!

I can cold start it; I just wanted to get up and running. The 'STEER' light did not illuminate in green. I had to leave the server and do it again. Then it worked however the brakes wouldn't work. So, I left again and came back and then it started working fine. This happed a handfull of time in the last two weeks.

Ah, in multiplayer. Apologies. Missed that part. No clue why that would happen.
