Hello

I have a question. When I’m in pilots seat, I use George to find targets, no problems, I use video display to see the targets, no problems. But isn’t it possible to see it in the helmet display? It would be nice to see a direction and distance to the target in the helmet display.

best regards

Hi,

switch the ACQ to TADS and the IHADSS will show you where George is looking with the sensor, see picture.

You should see the distance to the target via the IHADSS directly or TADS video. Alternatively, you can also create a WP/TG on the TSD where George is aiming and then select it via ROUTE-DIR, then you will also have the distance in the sighting system. Try this out.

See here for a detailed explanation:

I really wish the IHADSS had an option to display TADS LOS as its own symbol at all times.

I realize that the real thing does not have this, so ours never will either, but it would certainly make it easier for me to realize that George has latched onto something 20 miles away from where i told him to look while i'm working the FCR using a steerpoint or tgt point as ACQ to cue it.  It's a PITA to ACQ to TADS to get George under control, then ACQ back to the steerpoint.

Hello again

Thank you, T-Bone for the solution. I had missed to change ACQ to TADS. My ACQ was FXD.

Thank you / Danke schön
