Mainstay Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) Beautiful artbook by a very talented illustrator. I have almost all his previous comic books but this one is dedicated to the Tomcat. https://romainhugault.com/en/english-book/57-tomcat-english-version-9782889326198.html Some more background information on Romain and some extra shots of how he draws the tomcat in the bottom of the article https://vintageaviationnews.com/warbird-articles/drawings-of-magic-the-aviation-art-of-romain-hugault.html Also some nice fan wear (cap, scarf et cetera) https://barnstormer.fr/en/93-romain-hugault Edited March 18 by Mainstay 5
Tomcatter87 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'm not a comic reader usually, but during a visit in Strasbourg, I saw that one in a shop and just HAD to buy it. Great artworks, good storytelling, I really like it. It tells a story from the perspective of F-14 BuNo 160390 - and starts ten seconds before the fatal crash. Quite enthralling. 1 "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and there you will always long to return." WarthogOsl Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) i agree, it's great! BTW, here's another new one I'd recommend: the soft cover version of "Half Century Baby!" This was originally a larger format hard cover that was pretty expensive. I had tried ordering it a few times, and kept receiving it damaged. The soft cover is only $14 on Amazon, though, and I'm very happy with it! Lots of pictures and new side-view art work. Edited March 21 by WarthogOsl 1 2
