rob10 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 There is a little box in the top right corner of this thread with "search" in it. Type "authorization" and hit enter. There have been probably 20 new threads started about this (or what is virtually the same) issue in the last 2 weeks. Short answer is It's your antivirus causing issues. 2 2
Rocky49 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Never seen this happen in an update with my Windows anti-virus before. I would like the Admins to see if this is a false reading by my anti virus 1 System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2

Solution DeNbEiRe_BE Posted March 19 Author Solution Posted March 19 Fixed the issue by excluding all DCS main folders in Windows Defender. Ran the updater again and works like a charm. 1 Modules: A-10C II Tank Killer / AH-64D / AJS-37 Viggen / AV-8B Night Attack / Bf 109 K-4 Kurfurst / Black Shark 2 / Black Shark 3 / C-101 Aviojet / CH-47D / Christen Eagle II / Combined Arms / F-4E Phantom II / F-5E Remastered / F-14 Tomcat / F-15E Strike Eagle / F-16C Viper / F-86F Sabre / F/A-18C Hornet / Flaming Cliffs 2024 / Fw 190 A-8 / Fw 190 D-9 Dora / I-16 / JF-17 Thunder / L-39 Albatros / M-2000C / MB-339 / Mi-8MTV2 / Mi-24P Hind / MiG-15bis / MiG-19P Farmer / MiG-21bis / Mirage F1 / Mosquito FB VI / NS 430 Navigation System / OH-58D Kiowa Warrior / P-47D Thunderbolt / P-51D Mustang / SA342 Gazelle / Spitfire LF Mk.IX / Supercarrier / UH-1H Huey / WWII Assets Pack / Yak-52 Terrains: Afghanistan / Caucasus / Cold War Germany / Iraq / Kola / Marianas / Nevada / Normandy 2.0 / Persian Gulf / Sinai / South Atlantic / Syria / The Channel Hardware: Logitech G X52 Professional HOTAS / Logitech G203 Mouse / Logitech G213 Keyboard / Logitech G432 Gaming Headset / Logitech Z313 2.1 Speaker System PC specs: Lenovo Legion T5 26AMR5 / Windows 11 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor / 32GB RAM / GeForce RTX 3070 / 2 TB SSD / 34" LG Monitor
Rocky49 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) Did those exceptions too, did not help. Repaired by checking every file and reset the exceptions and now it works. MAXsenna Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Did those exceptions too, did not help. Repaired by checking every file and reset the exceptions and now it works. The exceptions totally work. But not before one makes a repair for obvious reasons. The Anti-Virus snatches the files, and breaks DCS, and will continue to do so until the exceptions are added, and then a repair is needed to restore the files.
